At this point it may not have seemed like a long day to readers, but walking along The Strip, back and forth, across the street, back across the street, up stairs, down stairs, and dodging the crowds was hard work and very tiring!
We did take a bus to the Hard Rock Hotel, which is off The Strip. Do not let that stop you from considering this hotel, because the experience and the energy is always high. The hotel can stand on its own...next time I return to Vegas I would love to spend the evening to just people watch. The crowd is slightly younger than most of the other hotels, and the decor certainly belies this fact, however the food and beverages are terrific.
Walking into the foyer of the Hard Rock Hotel, behind secured displays, you can see a number of music celebrities clothing, such as Brittany Spears' white dress and boots, Michael Jackson's studded jacket and in the foyer they have motorcycles, a chandelier in the shape of a saxophone, and memorabilia, such as drums and guitars, and photos of rockers. The Joint is a state of the art concert facility, which has seen performances by a who's who of rock. The pool area has palm trees, private cabanas and sandy beaches, complete with swim-up blackjack!
We had a number of room inspections. Each room had a rock and roll elegance to them, with a funky musical flavour that was energetic and clean. The bedding in each room was plush! You feel like a rock star! Guests can book a standard room, Penthouse, or Villa. The Penthouse is $1500/night during the weekdays, but balloons to $7000/night on weekends. It should; it comes with a pool table, a bowling lane, a hot tub, full kitchen and more bedrooms than a palace. Each bedroom had an ensuite larger than the main floor of my home in Richmond. Wow! Talk about feeling like a rock star!
